As we begin this new year, our eyes
are open to the reality that Christians worldwide are suffering for their faith.
This reality is why Peter wrote to the persecuted church in 1 Peter 5:8-11:
Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
There is a spiritual power discovered when you know you are not alone.
It is so easy to miss, but our suffering brothers and sisters gain strength in the knowledge that you know of their situation... and are standing with them in prayer.
Be ON WATCH in this new year...
Right now our field operations are gearing up for a massive effort in 2010 to strengthen our persecuted brothers and sisters in locations where believers are paying the highest price for their faith. Just a small sampling of what is planned includes...
- The distribution of Bibles, Christian literature and training materials to help build the faith of Christians suffering persecution, especially Muslim-background believers
- Relief and medical assistance to Muslim converts and their families
- Safe houses for brothers and sisters under direct threat
- Training programs that help Muslim-background believers effectively share their newfound faith
